Sunpiper Press would
like you to share your writing with the world. What kind of submissions
do we want? I’m
glad you asked!
First and foremost, we want positive
messages. No subject is off limits. The subject is not as important
as the message
derived from the subject.
Sunpiper Press does not believe in censorship, however, it is necessary
for us to believe in what we support---and if it’s not positive,
we don’t support it.
Second, we'd like poetry,
short stories, novellas and for self-publishers/authors, excerpts of your
novel and a link where interested readers can buy your book. Please
understand, however, that Sunpiper Press is not a paying market and we do
not want you to submit something you plan to sell to another publication.
We do not want to give away work that should be sold. Sunpiper Press is
about exposure for your work and your submission is for one time
publication on the site. There will be no reproduction of work submitted
to Sunpiper Press, by Sunpiper Press or any of its affiliates, without
authors knowledge and permission.
Thirdly, you have to make people
think. As my friend, author Steven Manchester once stated, “An author is not doing his/her job if
they do not make you think.” That is the complete reason for journalism
and literature—to make the reader understand the climate of the
situation or the emotion the characters.
All authors will be
assured their byline and full credit of their work.
Thank you so very much for your
interest in Sunpiper Press. We look forward to your participation
and sharing your soul
through the rhetorical “stroke
of the pen”.
